The Art Post premise is simple

Subscribe and receive a hand wax-sealed Art Post, complete with a curated selection of four postcards showcasing up and coming artists from across the world.

The Art Post is a miniature art gallery right to your doorstep. You can collect the postcards, frame them and of course, send them to friends and family to say a simple thank you or Happy Birthday (an art print gift and card all in one).

We've been honing the concept in our home town of Sheffield, UK, for a year now, and with many happy subscribers, we're opening this up to art. lovers in the US, and are looking for our first early adopters!

How it works

Subscribe and get your limited edition art postcards every three months

Each Art Post is a mystery, so you won't know which artists will be showcased till the morning of your delivery. We have acrylic painters, lino printers, charcoal artists, and many more lined up to showcase their masterpieces on the Art Post.

Your wax-sealed Art Post will arrive on your doorstep, along with your early adopter sticker (yes, really, every one is wax-sealed by hand.)

You'll open your Art Post, a joyous experience in itself, to find four high quality postcards showcasing art from some of the most exciting up and coming artists (you'll even see the texture of a painting on the postcard), and a Meet The Artists booklet so you can find out a little more about people behind the pieces, and the inspiration stories for each piece.

You'll receive four high quality postcards showcasing art from up and coming artists, along with a Meet the Artists booklet with beautiful stories of what inspired each piece of artwork, and our artists biographies. You'll be the first to see some of the amazing new work by our emerging artists.

Each Post is a mystery, you'll discover some incredible artists on your Art Post journey

In each Post, you'll receive the collectable Meet The Artists booklet, with information about each of the artists, and their inspiration for the art on the postcards.

In each pack, you'll receive four high quality A6 art postcards, we look to make sure the depth and texture of the artwork is visible. Shown here "Lemons" an acrylic triumph by Kerry Lousie Bennett - one of March's masterpieces.

Every so often, we'll showcase a poem by an up and coming poet. 'We Were Never Derelict', was our very first, a poem inspired by Park Hill Flats by Poet Laureate, Otis Mensah.

Everything about this project has me excited. Where to begin?

The quality of the art and postcards is absolutely gorgeous and I know many people value them purely for that.

But they're perfect to post to friends and family too. I get so excited each month, carefully choosing which card to send to which person. I know it will brighten their day and mine as well. In fact the whole project is like a a chain of joy.

People are getting tired of technology flattening our interactions with each other and are learning to appreciate snail mail again. The Art Post facilitates that loving, postal communication that brings us closer together and makes us feel valued. I can't recommend a subscription with them more.

How does payment work?

For ongoing subscriptions, payment is automatically taken from your nominated account at the frequency you choose. You can cancel any time by contacting us at rach@theartpost.co.uk.

When is The Art Post sent?

Your first wax sealed Art Post will be dispatched in the following quarter after payment, dependant on which subscription you choose.

How does artist selection work?

One of the awesome things about The Art Post is that each postcard delivery is a surprise - you'll not know which emerging artist will be showcased each month, so when you open the packaging, you'll experience even more joy.

Are there going to be different artists every month?

We have many artists who are now a part of The Art Post postcard subscription to spread the word about their incredible original pieces of art. We may feature artists multiple times, but you'll never receive the same miniature masterpiece more than once. There will be signposting to the art every month so you can buy pieces for your home, or as gifts from the artists themselves.

Can I buy the original art that is featured on the postcards?

Of course! We send a Meet the Artists card with each delivery, so you can get in touch with the artists if you want to buy any of their work.

What kind of business is The Art Post?

We work like a letterbox art gallery. We are not a non-for-profit, but we will donate a proportion of our profits to Rethink Mental Illness in 2021 - they are a truly amazing organisation, supporting those impacted by serious mental illnesses and helping to fight taboo around mental illness.

I am an artist, can I showcase my work?

We'd love to see your artwork, simply fill out our artist application form. We have quite a large backlog at the moment, so it may take a few weeks for us to get back to you.
