Artist Responsibilities
1. Provide accurate information, as requested, including high quality images of your work, for inclusion in the publicity material and to the media.
2. Any amendments to the information provided, such as changes of email details, must be communicated to The Art Post as soon as possible.
3. Artists are expected to be proactive and to generate publicity in their local areas e.g. contacting local press, radio, parish newsletters and distributing publicity materials and information to local venues such as cafes, hotels, galleries etc.
4. Act in a professional manner at all times in dealing with the public and with other participating artists. Helping to build strong relationships with audiences online and at the Studios.
5. Artists are expected to cover all aspects of shipping and delivery upon a successful purchase, this includes covering all shipping and delivery costs.
6. Works must be sent to the buyer, tracked, within 3 working days of notification and this tracking code must be shared with The Art Post for reference too.
Art Post Responsibilities
1. All sales of featured artwork made during the exhibition timeline will be subject to 35% commission fee. The sale price minus the 35% commission will be paid to the artists by the 15th of December 2023.
2. Continue to develop Art Post Originals as a high- profile online small artwork exhibition, which is known regionally, nationally and internationally, increasing opportunities for people to buy contemporary art.
3. The Art Post will continue to develop audiences for high quality contemporary visual arts, attract and engage our existing as well as new audiences and stimulate strong levels of interaction with visual arts and the event.
4. Art Post Originals will include selected artists, and a colour image of their work, online, and in a high- quality flier within The Art Post subscription pack. The Art Post reserves the right to select the image for the printed publicity materials. It is possible that some individual artists will be featured in other publications and press articles. The Art Post will endeavour to ensure that these artists are acknowledged.
5. It is The Art Post’s intention to raise the profile of artists and makers in Yorkshire through a comprehensive marketing strategy including: high quality printed publicity, strong online presence, focussed advertising and extensive press coverage.
